I had someone ask me the other day about carpet cleaners and how long it takes to use them in cleaning all of carpets in my home. It goes without saying that the answer depends on how large your home is and how many square feet of carpeting you have in it.
That being the case, for an average 2500 square foot home with carpet throughout most of the rooms, you can be looking at 4-5 hours depending on how dirty it is. Cleaning the carpets is not a race though. You really want to take your time and do a good job.
You also should keep in mind that this amount of time includes doing things like moving the furniture in each room and setting everything up with your machine, emptying and filling the tanks, etc. So that all adds to the time as well. I will say that if your carpets are not as dirty it may only take half that amount of time instead.
