William Russ is a perfect example of a talented soap opera actor. I forgot the name of the show he was on, but I saw him on it about two to three years ago. The best thing he did as a soap opera actors, was not act like he was on a soap opera! No stupid looks. No dumb kisses. No overly dramatic stares into absolute nothingness. In fact, I would say he was understated. That is how they should teach all soap opera actors to behave on camera. I think film actors do a great job of this. They are quiet and small on screen. The camera amplifies all of their actions. Maybe soap opera actors come from thatre a lot, though, because they are acting like each movement needs to be seen by the back row, when really it’s all being broadcast to people’s living rooms! Russ is great though.

For many years, my friends have been trying to get me to watch more video content online. I have typically resisted. I’m busy, and I’m happy with my TV content. But lately I’ve stumbled across some really amazing comedy videos, and I have to admit, my friends were right.

If you haven’t started checking out online content, start now. There are lots of real, genuine entertainers that have found a home online. And the jokes are not stolen or old or stale. Actually, the content on the internet seems much fresher and edgier than TV and movie content.

All in all, online videos have been a refreshing addition to my already crowded entertainment schedule. I’m very excited to continue to explore. I’m not going to give up on my TV shows yet, but I can definitely see a future where all entertainment is on the internet. Happily, I am now ready for that future.
