When I first set out to find a house, I didn’t know that I would end up renting one instead of buying one. It was going to be my first venture into a house of my own, and I didn’t know the direction I would end up taking. To make a long story short, I ended up renting a small, bungalow-style house, and I am so happy with my decision. It’s in a safe enough area not to demand all the latest in cctv kits to keep burglars away, because my area is too high-profile for sneaky intruders to get away with their nefarious actions.
I really love the house that I am in for a variety of reasons. First of all, it is the perfect size for me. It only has two bedrooms and one bathroom, but that is all that I need right now. Secondly, it has so much storage. I have gotten very spoiled having a basement; and, although it is not a finished basement, it is a great location to do laundry and store everything I have acquired as a pack rat. Finally, I am smack dab in the center of my city. It takes me about 10 minutes to get downtown, and I am less that 20 minutes from every suburb that the city has to offer. I can also make it to any one of our major interstates in less than five minutes. That is the best part of living in the house that I do.
