There are things that are open to you to take advantage of as you go to get and compare homeowners insurance rate quotes. There are things you can’t take advantage of simply because you do NOT have access to them. So what are the things you have access to?
You might have access to group rates. And where you don’t already have access, you can create the opportunity if you belong to a very large group or association. It’s simply a game of numbers. Look at it this way: If you can convince members of your club or association to adopt a good insurer as everyones underwriter, don’t you think you’d be able to negotiate a very good rate for every member?
I personally think that you might be pleasantly surprised at what you will save if you take this step. At the worst, you won’t get anything less and then you can stick with your current insurer. But then you could also get a big concession. So it’s definitely worth giving a try.
